Menorrhagia is the most common gynaecological complaint which comes under Abnormal Uterine Bleeding category (AUB). It defines as the heavy and prolonged menstrual periods which largely affects over 10 million women in US. There are many reasons which can cause menorrhagia; for example, hormonal disturbance, uterine polyps and fibroids, pelvic inflammatory diseases, cancer, inherited bleeding disorders, endometriosis and more. Treatment for menorrhagia can be possible after knowing the under lying cause of the problem which mainly includes pills. Other treatments are also available which is surgical that is permanent removal of hysterectomy that is removal of uterus.
